Lord Sri Venkateswara, an avatar of Vishnu is the presiding deity of the Tirupati temple. It is believed that the Moolavirat is Swayambhu (self manifested). Also the deity consists power of trimurthi: Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, and some sects believe that Lord Venkateswara consists power of Shakthi and Skanda also.
