- The main deity of the temple is Lord Subramanya Swamy, also called as Karthikeya or Lord Murugan
- Three hundred years back the Raja Gopuram was built by Sri Desikamurthy Swami of Tiruvaduthurai Mutt. The view of sea and surrounding cliffs add more charm and grace to this beautiful temple.
- Inside the sanctum we see the idol of Murugan with a Shiva Lingam on the left. A little further on the left we see Lord Murugan with six faces flanked by his two consorts.
