Lakshmi Ksheerasamudra rajatanyam sri rangadhameswareem

Dasibootha samastha devavanitham lokaika deepamkuram

Sri manmanda kataksha labdhivibhat brahmendra gangadharam

Twamtrayamlokyakutumbhineem sasijavandemukunda priyam

Charumathi and the other women in the town who joined her in performing the puja, take a bath early in the morning and then proceed to prepare and decorate a mandapa to invite Goddess Lakshmi. This above sloka is then chanted by them with the utmost devotion and faith.
