Varalakshmi Vratham is performed on the Friday prior to Poornima in the month of Shravan. As it’s done by the married women for the prosperity of the husband and the family. The decoration and procedure for this day are done by the married women or the elder one in the family where they decorate the Khalasham using many things like sarees, silk-clothes, jewellers, bangles and with many more items.
But the interesting part is on this day different varieties of foods are prepared and offered as a Naivedyan to please deities.
